Simple Thanksgiving Tablescape + Free Printable!
Hello, friends!
Today, I’m sharing a simple tablescape along with a fun printable and some quick tips to help make your Thanksgiving day as joyous as possible!
Because, for many of us, the holidays are going to look a lot different than previous years! But…since there isn’t much we can do about it, why not make it the BEST Thanksgiving we can!
Are you with me?
Awesome!
Now I don’t know about you all, but I LOVE to start any holiday by setting a pretty table.
Since it’s a ‘wee’ bit early to set one for that day, I decided to create one that would be easy to replicate Thanksgiving eve day.

The first layer begins with the same fall throw that I used in my Autumn Harvest Tablescape.  Throws are a fun (and usually inexpensive) way to add texture and color to your table. I say inexpensive because they can actually be cheaper to buy than most tablecloths! And they come in so many different colors and patterns! The best part? When you’re done using it on the table wash it up and it’s ready to ‘throw’ back over your couch for cozy movie night!
Next came the centerpiece. Again, I wanted something I could easily re-create the night before. I chose a blue-green and white pumpkin as the main part of my centerpiece. I love the natural look they provide and of course the texture. Pumpkins (uncarved) usually last a couple of months before they begin to go bad. If you don’t think you’re pumpkins will last that long, you could also use different types and colors of squash too! AÂ glass hurricane pillar candle, a few faux pumpkins, Indian corn, eucalyptus, faux leaves, and more candles, round out the rest of the centerpiece. Easy Peasy!
For my place settings, I used Dollar Tree chargers that I spray painted black, then added a plain white plate and salad bowl. I love the classic look of black and white! Don’t you? I also used a simple white napkin that I ‘dressed’ up with some fresh rosemary and a tag with the word ‘Thankful’. I attached both to the napkin with a piece of raffia. For me, there is no lovelier scent than fresh rosemary and it definitely isn’t just for decoration. Tear a few pieces off and sprinkle it on your stuffing, turkey, or potatoes to add even more flavor!
I just love how the tablescape turned out, and it only took 20 minutes! Nothing fussy. No frills. And it will be a breeze to re-create the day before the feast!
Speaking of a feast! As I mentioned in my previous post, the menu for our Thanksgiving feast will be pared down just a bit this year. We will be having a small turkey, and the usual sides, but instead of a whole pie, I thought maybe I’d try something different. Like maybe this Pear and Cranberry Galette. It’s SO delicious, and takes WAY less effort than a pie! (Subscribers can find the recipe in our newsletter this week!)
Michael and I truly have so much to be thankful for. And regardless of what is on the menu, we feel totally blessed to have all that we do have.
That really is what Thanksgiving is all about, right? Even though we can’t be with all of our families, we can still stay connected. We can still be thankful for them and all we have been given. And we can still have a joyous day filled with laughter and good food!
Speaking of laughter…We decided to do something fun this year during our Thanksgiving feast! I’m a HUGE trivia fan, so I spent a little time coming up with 10 trivia questions all related to Thanksgiving! It was such fun to learn what I did about the holiday, and I can’t wait to stump Michael! Of course, since I already know the answers to mine, he will be creating his own trivia questions for me! You could totally create your own trivia questions (even some kid-relatable ones too) and add a little challenge and chuckle to your dinner table too! You can find my free printable and the answers here!  (Sidenote: Hopefully you don’t almost run out of printer ink like I did!)
I hope today’s post gives you inspiration for a simple (yet pretty) Thanksgiving tablescape. But more importantly, I hope it reminds you to give yourself grace this holiday season. It’s going to be different. And emotional. And that’s okay.
Let’s all try and make it the VERY best Thanksgiving we possibly can!
May you have much to be thankful for this holiday season!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Love, love, love this gorgeous Thanksgiving tablescape so much, Christine! It’s beautiful! I love how you layered everything and included the rosemary with the place card and napkin too. I know it must smell amazing. I’m definitely going to try and incorporate more candles this Thanksgiving and Christmas too. They always add such a warm ambiance! Hugs, CoCo
Thank you, CoCo! It was so fun and easy to put together! And yes, it does smell pretty amazing! Natural scents are incredible! I’m right there with you on more candles! I need to pick up a few new ones for the holidays!
