Friday’s Fabulous Finds!

Hello, sweet friends!

Well, I don’t usually ‘TOOT’ my own horn, but…TOOT TOOT!

It’s my Birthday!!

There was a time when saying my age out loud was forbidden. But as the years have passed, like everything, I’ve learned to embrace the number.

Today I turn 55!

When I was a kid I remember thinking 55 was ANCIENT. Of course, I’ve grown up since then, and realize now that 55 is really only a number.

Oh sure, there are days when I FEEL old. And certainly, days when I take a closer look in the mirror and see I LOOK a ‘wee’ bit older too! (Especially when I’m past due for dying my hair, LOL!) But I’m a firm believer in you’re only as old as you feel.

There are just as many days that I feel twenty-something again and trust me, I hang on to each and every ONE of those!

Now… onto this week’s Friday’s Fabulous FINDS!

MASK UP

And I’m not talking about the ones we had to wear during the pandemic! If you’re looking for an inexpensive but oh-so-luxurious way to pamper yourself or someone else,  Boy, do I have a treat for you? The first time I tried these AMAZING masks was two years ago when my daughter, Mel gave them to me for Christmas. I was cautious at first about using them because I do have sensitive skin, but the reviews on this product were so good that I decided what the heck!

Why I love them
  • #1They are paraben-free and made with all-natural ingredients!
  • #2 They are SUPER easy to use!
  • #3 THEY WORK! I absolutely LOVE how the masks feel going on. They smell fresh and clean. And best of all they HYDRATE the heck out of your skin.
  • #4 There is a HUGE variety of masks to choose from! My favorites are Charcoal, Aloe, Green Tea, and Vitamin.
cost

The masks generally come in bulk (usually 16-24) and run under $20

the best place to buy

AMAZON hands down! I buy the 24 pack for $14.99 (that’s just .62¢ each!)

SANDWICH HEAVEN

Is there anything better on a hot summer day than a BLT for lunch? Not in my book. And if there isn’t in yours, let me just say THIS BLT is the absolute BEST! It comes from an AMAZING cafe in Minneapolis (yah Minnesota)!!! I ordered it once a few years ago and I couldn’t get over how they could take SUPER simple ingredients and turn it into such magic! Well, now I know their secret!

why I love this sandwich

It literally has all my favorite summer flavors packed in between two yummy slices of bread! Of course, it has the bacon (yes, please) and crisp lettuce, and slightly sweet heirloom tomatoes. But it also has a few not-so-usual flavors that I would never have thought fit this sandwich, and yet…it’s SOOO good I can’t imagine a BLT without them!

WHere you can get the sandwich

Well, as I said, it was at a cafe in Minneapolis called the Birchwood. Unfortunately, when I recently checked their menu, it seems they no longer serve the sandwich. But no worries because you can make one yourself using their own recipe!! WOOT WOOT!

DIY IT!

I am in NO hurry for summer to come to an end. But I’m not going to lie. I’m SUPER excited about decorating our new house this fall! I’ve already started pinning some ideas and this easy, yet oh-so-elegant centerpiece is at the top of my list!

why I love it

It’s simple, budget-friendly, and has that WOW factor that cannot be denied! What more could you want in DIY decor?

COST

I’m not sure how much Lucy’s cost was as she doesn’t say in her post. But she used just two items. Artificial fruit and white spray paint. I found apples and pear here and here!  And the color of spray paint she used here.

PRETTY IN PINK

After purging our closets this past spring, I decided I needed a ‘few’ new pieces for summer. Since it was still pre-vaccination I didn’t want to go into any stores, so against my better judgment, I ordered some things online. I’m a huge fan of Old Navy, and their prices are always AMAZING, and that’s where I found this adorable blouse!

why I love it

Where do I start? I guess the first place is how well it fits. It’s definitely true to size and I can’t say it any better than it fits in all the right places. Not too tight in the chest area, loose enough in the tummy area, and downright comfortable in ALL areas! I also LOVE the pattern and bright colors and the material is almost like linen so it’s soft and lightweight too. P.S. It makes me feel pretty when I wear it!

cost

When I ordered the shirt it was a ‘new’ item so I bought it for $26.99 but right now it’s on sale for $17.97!!!

MORE OF THIS WEEK’S FAVORITES:

I’ve been looking for inspiration for this year’s fall wreath and I think I found it with this one. I LOVE the natural elements and colors. I see a DIY in the future.

I’m on the lookout for some cozy bedding and this one just might be in my cart by the end of the day!

Peach season is almost here and I can’t wait to make this recipe!

That BLT looks amazing! I never would have thought of putting sunflower seeds (or a lot of that stuff!) on a BLT, though. Interesting!
The fall centerpiece is so pretty! I was so excited when I saw that Dollar Tree had some fall stuff out the other day.
The top from Old Navy is so pretty! I used to shop there all the time, especially during a sale. I miss shopping there! I’ll be checking this out online, though. 🙂
