Free Easter Bunny Coloring Page Printable!
I’m sharing a fun free printable that both adults and kids can enjoy coloring for easter!
Hello, sweet friends!
Although I don’t decorate much for Easter. It truly is one of my favorite holidays of the year.
And this year, we will be celebrating not once. Not twice. But THREE times with family, so it’s bound to be an even more joyous occasion!
The first gathering we have is this weekend. Which, although a wee bit early, is the only time our daughter, son-in-law, and grandson can get away, as it is also spring break for Max’s school!
I couldn’t be happier to have them all here and I was busy planning every detail this weekend.
Including some fun ways to keep that sweet little 7-year-old grandson of ours busy, as well as spend some quality time together doing something we all enjoy!
And one thing Max, his mother, and I enjoy is COLORING! In fact, years ago, when my daughter was Max’s age, she and I use to sit for hours and hours coloring! As she got older we would actually have competitions to see who could be the most creative with the same coloring page.
Funny thing is, now that Melissa has her own child, they too spend a great deal of time mastering their coloring skills, and have even started a bit of competition just recently.
So I thought what better way to spend time together this weekend than being creative! Instead of going out and buying 3 new coloring books so we could have the same page to work on, I decided why not make one myself?!
Of course, when I was trying to come up with an idea for the coloring page, my first thought was it had to be kid-friendly!
And what, my friends, could be more kid-friendly than this sweet little bunny and his little chick friends?
I LOVED it so much that I decided to make one of the sheets into a wall hanging for our kitchen! I thought about just putting it in a frame, but they were all in storage and I didn’t want to buy one. So instead I re-purposed something I already had.
I dug out this chalkboard art that I bought at Dollar Tree last year. It’s not actually a ‘chalkboard’. It just looks like it. Here’s what I did to give it a ‘refresh’.
- Sand down the surface.
- Give the surface two good coats of black chalk paint. (not chalkboard paint-CHALK paint)
- Attach 2 mini clothespins with E6000.
Viola! I not only have a way to display this adorable page. But I also can use this hanging ‘clipboard’ to display so many things. Like…
- Recipes
- Motivational bible verses or sayings
- Wall art (change it from season to season)
- Grocery List
- Schedules
- Calendars
I truly ADORE the neutral look of this printable as wall art.
It was the perfect compliment to my vintage chalkboard just off our pantry. I even added a touch more spring by hanging a bit of faux lavender and rosemary sprigs at the top!
But I’m not going to lie! I’m pretty excited to sit down with my two favorite people and create. There’s definitely going to be plenty of chatter and a few giggles too, and I can’t wait to see how our creations turn out!
I hope today’s post inspired you to create something simple and fun for Easter!
