Fabulous Fall Decor Finds at Target!

Well, ready or not, fall is here!

There is a crispness to the air (temps in the 50’s this week), the leaves are just slowly beginning to turn. And pumpkins & mums are arriving at some of our local produce stands!

This past week I even took some time off work and blogging to get caught up on my fall chores! That and of course our bathroom renovation!

In between those chores and reno, I also started pulling out my fall decor. Unfortunately, last fall I donated quite a bit of that decor because our plan was to downsize a bit so we could move in the spring.

Obviously that didn’t happen.

So the other day when I was placing an online order for some stuff for our bathroom, I decided to check out Target’s fall decor! I started out thinking I’d get just a few items to refresh what I did have. But oh my! There were so many AMAZING pieces that I ended up buying just a wee bit more than I’d planned!

Now for those who have followed along for some time, you know I’m mostly a neutral gal when it comes to decor.

But when fall comes around I can’t deny how much I LOVE adding touches here and there of warmer fall tones.

So yes, there will be a mix of both in our home this year.

There will also be plenty of texture! Which is something there is PLENTY of this time of year!

And of course, there will always be …

I’m LOVING plaid right now and this gorgeous plaid throw will add the perfect texture to any plain jane sofa! Since it has a wee bit of grey I got it to throw over our living room sofa for those chilly nights watching movies! Speaking of throws, this rust-colored chunky throw looks SUPER cozy and hand-knitted too! And if your a pillow fanatic like me, this plaid (again 🙂one has your name written all over it! COZY, COZY, COZY!

Whether it’s filling a pretty vase for your table, hanging a wreath on your front door, or decorating your fireplace mantel, fall foliage can add the perfect ‘pop’ of color.

Now I’m all for foraging your yard (or your neighbors) for fall foliage but if that’s not possible or like me you don’t have much to forage, faux is the answer!

These golden aspen leaves, in both stem and garland, are so GORGEOUS  and I couldn’t resist grabbing a few of the stems for our kitchen! The wreath is made with rust-colored aspen leaves and is just as stunning! Imagine the envy your neighbors will have with that beauty on your front door!

candlelight+fall scents

I don’t know what it is but when the temperatures begin to fall, the candles come out in our house! There is just something about the warm glow of a candle that makes every room feel cozier. And the AMAZING scents?! Oh my!

I’ve always been a huge fan of the usual fall favorites. Apple, Pumpkin, Cinnamon. But when I read the description for this Brown Sugar & Chestnut I HAD to have it! “Comforting notes of roasted chestnuts, brown sugared pecans, and cinnamon vanilla swirl amongst true earthy notes of acorns, maple trees, and fall leaves.” 

I’m also working on a few tablescapes for fall so I chose these soft golden tapered candles.

Of course, I also had to replenish my standard scents so I opted for this new Bourbon Pumpkin!

Speaking of tablescapes I found a HUGE selection of fall items that are perfect for creating a lovely centerpiece.

This raffia pumpkin comes in both large and small sizes and I couldn’t help myself! I grabbed both! Aren’t they just fun?!

Amber candle holders, jars, bottles, and vases are so popular this time of year. I think a grouping of them would be so lovely as a centerpiece or fill them with dried flowers, wheat bundles, or eucalyptus!

And we can’t forget the table linens. I found everything from fun & inexpensive paper napkins, to colorful tablecloths and my favorite, this pretty plaid table runner!

Whew! That’s a WHOLE lot of shopping in one sitting! Am I right?

Honestly, friends! Target has always been one of my favorite spots to shop for decor, but this year choices for decor seem endless and the pricing is SO good right now! (All decor is 25% off until September 12th!)

I’m hoping to start decorating for fall this next weekend with my haul, and I can’t wait to share it all with you!
