Ingredients

For Filling

  • 6 cups sliced apples **About 8 medium apples peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 2 Tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

For Crumble Topping

  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup quick oats
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375. Grease baking dish.

  2. Combine flour, oats, brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a large mixing bowl. Cut in butter with a pastry blender until butter is pea size and the mixture is crumbly.

  3. Place apples in a medium bowl. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Stir until well combined.

  4. Pour apples into greased baking dish. Spread out evenly.

  5. Pour the crumble topping over the apples, spreading out evenly.

  6. Bake for 45 minutes or until apples are tender and bubbling, and the topping is golden brown.

  7. Serve warm with whipped or ice cream.
