Christmas Sweet Treat Gift Ideas + Free Printables!
I’m sharing two of my favorite and (easiest) Homemade gift ideas+free printables and tips on wrapping those sweet treats for all your loved ones!
Hello, sweet friends!!
Can you believe there is only one week left until Christmas?
I don’t know about you all, but I’m not quite ready yet for Santa to come to town.
There is still wrapping to do, a bit more baking, and oh yes about my house.
It’s a tad ‘messy’ (understatement) right now, so I suppose a good cleaning will be needed before friends and family stop by next week!
But on a positive note, I do have most of my gifts wrapped and under the trees, and all the goodies for our gift baskets are done, which means we can deliver them a bit earlier than usual.
As you might know, I’ve been making these homemade goody gift baskets for many years now.
It truly warms my heart to know that many of our dear friends and neighbors actually look forward to these gifts from our kitchen and tell us so every year.
And since I have been doing these baskets for so long, I figured it might just be about time to share some of the tips and tricks I’ve picked up along the way.
So today I’m going to do just that!

My #1 Tip is to choose familiar- quick and easy recipes.
Do what you know. Now is not the time to be trying new recipes. Trust me. Like the baskets, I’ve been making this fudge for years!! It’s so easy I could do it blindfolded. SERIOUSLY! All you need is a bowl, three ingredients, and 15 minutes.
Label any allergens
This Cranberry Almond bark falls under tip #1-because it’s SUPER easy to make, but it also has nuts in it, and although obvious, I still attach a note listing them just in case. ***You could also attach the recipe and highlight the nuts.
Get creative with the wrapping without spending a lot of money
Making Homemade goodies to give to loved ones can be a bit expensive since many of the recipes use good quality ingredients like chocolate and nuts. So to cut down on the costs, I usually buy most of my wrapping and gift basket supplies at our local Dollar Store. They have everything from wrapping paper to festive bags and boxes to put your goodies in. I also buy some plain and colored raffia, bows, ribbon, tape, cellophane bags, and labels too.
Canning jars are perfect vessels to hold my Cranberry Almond Bark, Peanut Brittle, or English Toffee. You could also fill one with homemade cocoa mix, or use a large one to layer your favorite cookie recipe’s ingredients!
Even inexpensive saran wrap can be used in a pinch. Make it a bit fancy with some colorful ribbon and a pretty label!
Speaking of labels! I have three NEW free printables for you today!!
Just click here to download them! (You can find the password at the end of your weekly newsletter for those already signed up. For those who aren’t please do, we’d love to have you join us!!!)
(Note: You can print these on regular printing paper and cut them out. Or, the first gift tag easily prints on 2″x 3 1/2″ Printable Tags and the second and third print on 2″ round labels.)
And if you’re looking for quick and easy recipes that your friends and family will LOVE to be gifted look no further!!
