Happy Monday, ya’ all! Welcome to another addition of Monday Morning Musings!
I hope you all had a FABULOUS weekend!
Mine was SUPER exciting!
Saturday was such a gorgeous day (65), so I decided to grab a rake and get a head start on cleaning up our yard.
I can always tell how bad our winter’s are by the amount of dog poo I’m required to pick up.
Yes, it’s a nasty job, but someone has to do it.
The mail lady will thank me. At least now she won’t have to do the bunny hop to get our mailbox!
I also received my first blister of the year. Oh how I love to rake.
On another note, I spent a glorious hour on the couch yesterday watching last week’s episode of Fixer Upper! I recorded it, because…well, I’m a Fixer Upper addict.
I’m assuming all you other folks obsessed with the show have already watched this episode, but if not-SPOILER alert!
I had my heart set on house #1-so when they chose how #3 I was seriously FREAKING out!
And then when they had to move the house, which was barely hanging onto it’s foundation already….all I could see was big $$$.
But I needn’t have worried. Chip and Joanna are crazy talented magicians I tell ya!
This kitchen is one of my top 5 favorites-and that sweet little refrigerator-yes please!
After I had my fix of Fixer Upper-I used this recipe to make this Homemade Country White Bread!
I won’t lie. Those two slices were eaten seconds after the photo was taken.
Hubby covered his in butter….and me? Well, I’m trying to eat healthier-so I topped the butter with some homemade blackberry jam. YUMMY!
I’m planning a new veggie garden this year, and I have my very own garden guru! If you’ve never checked out Carole’s blog, you really should. She just about the sweetest thing since sliced bread-(pun intended)and she knows EVERYTHING about gardening.
I definitely need to start following these tips!
I tried this tip to keep my lemons fresh-and it worked!!!
I have another loaf of bread that has my name written all over it. I think I’ll try strawberry jam this time!
Have an AWESOME Monday!
Blessings and hugs,
I’m with you I like a good house update. That refrigerator is perfect. Would love to have one. My grandma did (other grandma) and when it stopped working she used it as storage. Was so weird to see that growing up. She was quite a character and did live in the country.
Hope you have a great week and I gotta say blackberry jam sounds wonderful about now.
Oh my goodness, Carole! Your grandma sounds like my kind of gal! The blackberry jam was amazing! I only have one jar left out of 12 I did down last summer! Have an awesome rest of your week-and thank you so much for stopping by!
