DIY SPRING WREATH

Creating a pretty wreath with items from the dollar store!

Happy spring, sweet friends!

I know I’m a couple of days late, but it’s the thought that counts, right?

I’m definitely thinking about spring!

As for spring decor well, I think this year I’m going to do quite a bit less than in past years.

Light-airy-with a few punches of color sounds just about right for me.

This brings me to the inspiration for the color palette of today’s DIY project!

I’m loving the bright and cheerful colors this year!

All the pinks, yellows, and of course greens, with just a bit of white for contrast.

That is what I chose for the wreaths I made for several of the rooms in the house, as well as our front door.

Today’s project is the wreath I made for my home office.

what you’ll need:
how To create your wreath:

Separating the flowers from the main stem. I cut each individual flower’s stem allowing about 2 inches of the stem to remain.

To start I filled in most of the wreath form with the hyacinths.

The Daffodils came next and I simply placed them in between the hyacinth and then added a rose or two.

Once I had all the flowers where I wanted them  I filled in the empty spaces with greenery and a few faux stems that were leftover from other flowers I had on hand.

This wreath turned out so sweet and it will definitely brighten my day every time I walk into my office!

Since I had plenty of leftover flowers to make the other wreaths, the total cost for this wreath was a whopping $3!!!

What still amazes me is how realistic the faux flowers have become, and how inexpensive they are!!!!

I hope this DIY Spring Wreath reminds you that you don’t have to spend a lot of money to add a bit of spring to your home!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

  2. Thank you, Carole! I’m usually a neutral color kind of gal, but there’s just something about the bright colors of spring after a long dreary winter that always makes me smile! Wishing you and Robert a fun and happy weekend!
